My Why

 Ever since I could walk, Csmitty has been my nickname. Growing up, my mom would call my siblings and I, Smitty. With my name starting with a C, my mom added the C in front and the nickname Csmitty was born. At every soccer game, my mom would yell, “bend it like Csmitty!” or the typical “let’s go Csmitty!”. After a while it became catchy and my friends and family started referring to me as Csmitty. This brand is a representation of who I am. The logo represents the three aspects of my life that I identify myself as:

1. The Cross- I am a devoted Christian and follower of Jesus Christ. I grew up going to church every Sunday. My parents laid the biblical foundation for me but it was up to me to develop and cultivate a personal relationship with Christ for myself. It is the best relationship in my life because he constantly exudes Grace and Mercy upon me. His unconditional love and guidance have helped me through the ups and downs in my life. One of my favorite verses is Psalms 37:4 which reads: “Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.” The Mission for my brand is to use my gifts and talents to Glorify god and serve others. My daily mission is to be a shining light in his image which allows others to see who Christ is through my actions.

2. The Pen- The pen represents my love and passion for writing. I love the art of storytelling. Painting a picture in someone’s head, capturing their imagination and taking them in the moment with you is the most gratifying feeling as a writer. In high school I was a writer for our school newspaper, “The Warrior Post”. I graduated from SMU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism. I write and edit stories for TopDrawerSoccer.com as a soccer columnist.  I edit my own videos for my training, and I also have my own multimedia platform called "The Legacy" where I dive deep into the lives of my friends and family and interview them about their life journey and purpose. Furthermore, I host my own multimedia show, "Csmitty Connect" where I discuss important biblical concepts with people as well as hearing their story.

3. The kicking silhouette- This one is self-explanatory. Soccer has given me so much. It has taken me across the country and world, allowed me to meet amazing people and develop life-long friendships which I will be forever grateful for. I've been fortunate enough to represent my country on the highest level as I played on the U17 and U20 national Teams. I also was fortunate enough to play professionally for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in the United Soccer League (USL) Championship. Now I'm a personal soccer trainer in the DFW area.
